just found it myself, sorry for asking
I suppose my column at the beginning and conversion to DOS were the right thign to do. All I needed to add was a left margin filter ..

Hello, Back to trying out textpipe .. I have an excel sheet in which I need to add a path before an imagename in a selection of cells(column). lazy newbie extracting lines fron log files

Just getting started..
I HAVE tried but without success; I want to extract certain matching domain names from 4 webserver stats files, I need the whole line. Only the match was extracted ie not the whole line.
What extract do I use and how?
