Re: TextPipe v10.0 - a maximized Filter has no standard controls at the top right of its window

The 10.0.4 update actually made this problem worse ... before, I could merely not scroll down if I was using a monitor plugged into my laptop, but now I can't scroll down even when using the native laptop screen. It means TP is unusable if trying to build or edit a replace filter.

Same problem here - installed this, and now get the error msg:
"Missing function - processLine
Note - script language may be case sensitive"

How to batch edit Textpipe FLL filters themselves

I now have several hundred FLL filters, and need to do a whole load of text replaces of the contents of these filters. Is there any way to achieve this, for example using a Textpipe filter on them ? The FLL files are clearly not plain text, and they also do not appear to be binary (so ticking the Pr...

Extract lines without deleting remainder

Struggling to find a way to extract lines from a file by reference to a pattern match, WITHOUT deleting the remaining lines. I want to send the extractions to different files. Extract lines and Remove lines seem to work by nuking what is left. For example, I have a file that has this contents 12345 ...

Erratic "2 Files to Process" behaviour in filters

All of a sudden, I'm experiencing highly erratic behaviour when I try to submit filenames for entry in the "2 Files to Process" window. I used to be able to select a file using the Add Files button on the right, then substitute some of the letters in the filename with a "*" wildc...

TP: Perl expression problem with $0, $1, $2

Having some problems getting $1, $2 to work for me in a replace command. Need to fix up a long list of names where the middle name is jammed up against the surname, e.g. "Lee HarveyOswald". Seems that the cleanest way to do this would be to run a Replace command to find all instances of a ...

Webpipe projects stuck with 1000 downloads still in queu

So I've been using Webpipe happily on XP/7 for a while now, but I've transferred the operation over to a particular XP machine that executes WP projects but then mysteriously stops with exactly 1,000 files remaining to download in the project. It does this for some projects but (I think, am still tr...

Webpipe - content filters

Wondering if there is a way to stretch the Content Filter in WP ? Essentially, at present, you can specify a negative filter (don't download if you find this) OR a positive filter (download when you find this). I need to do both... I need to tell WP to download something when it finds a string from ...

Webpipe crashes

Have been using WP on a public internet-based database, pulling down file records using the url sequence generator, and for this site Webpipe crashes from time to time. I have experimented by reducing the number of simultaneous connections and the speed of downloads, and it seems to reduce the frequ...

Many thanks Anthony. It looks great. I'll need to upgrade to Pro to use it, which I'll do soon ... as soon as I feel rich enough !

Re: Sorting alphabetically line by line

Thanks. I can't import the .fll file you attached (says it comes from a later version of TP, although I appear to have the latest version [8.4.9.1] so maybe it's because I have Lite not Standard/Pro) but reading up on Restrictions now.

Sorting alphabetically line by line

Is there a function in TP that sorts text alphabetically line by line ? Example: apple, pear, tamarillo, orange, banana, "custard apple" pear, tamarillo, orange, grapefruit, "custard apple", apple tamarillo, orange, durian, "custard apple", apple, pear becomes apple, ba...
