Failure mode and effects analysis

Post by dfhtextpipe »

Hi Simon,

Does DataMystic make any formal use of FMEA procedures during the software design process?

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Failure_m ... s_analysis

Had it done so, then maybe some of the issues that have dogged version 10 might have been avoided.

Best regards,

David

FYI. Most of my professional career was in the Semiconductor Industry.

I worked as a Test Engineer with responsibility for the qualification of new products.

FMEA became a de rigueur requirement once we began supply products to the Automotive Electronics industry.

This is the technical and personal background to me making this post.
