It might be a useful enhancement to provide a TextPipe filter that can use the configured Diff Tool to apply a patch to the input file being processed.
Might that be feasible?
Best regards,
David

Re: Using a configured Diff Tool to apply a patch?
Hi David - interesting - how do you think this would work?
Add the file to be patched to the file list, and supply the patching text to a new filter?
Which diff tools do you have in mind to support this?

Re: Using a configured Diff Tool to apply a patch?
Hi Simon,
I guess that patch tools that can use diff files are more of a Linux scenario.
I've not yet found such a tool for Windows, except maybe to use under Cygwin, which I've not yet tried with diff.

I can't really see how this work in the TextPipe processing model.
Thanks for the thought though!

Simon
