DataMystic File Paths

Post by Josiah Hincks »

Both TextPipe Pro and EasyPattern Helper created directories in the "My Documents" folder (D:\wip\) as follows:

Code: Select all

D:\wip\DataMystic\EasyPattern Helper\

D:\wip\DataMystic\TextPipe\
How can I get the program to place the directories where I want them?.... I looked for an option to do so but could not find any.

Code: Select all

D:\library\tpl\textpipe\
Many thanks.

There is currently no option - this is a Vista standard.

Yes. But I would like the option to change it. Much software does offer this option, either directly through the interface or through registry settings. The only other software I am using that hard codes to the "My Documents" folder is Adobe Digital Editions. Not even Microsoft hard code this address in their Office software.

From my point of view the filter files are templates and I like to keep them with my other templates ouside the "My Documents" directory which I want as unclutterd as possible.

 I would like you to consider giving users the option to change this path.
