Auto-linking feature

Post by AlNaimi »

Hi Everyone..
How could you make TextPipe search all text URLs & auto-linking them, so it appear like a link not only text?
URLs such as: www - http - com - net ………………etc

Thanks

Is the text in an HTML file?

It's pretty easy to write a pattern to match what you have and convert it to <A href="...">...</a> form. Is that what you want?

Yes they were in html files; but remember URLs are in deffrent forms; as www; http; .com; .net;; so; there is no exact matching..
TextPipe have to search and add (<a herf>) before & after.

Thanks for fast reply

Hi admin, & thanks for your reply
I'm not sure that I understood you question very well; but I will try hard to explain my situation:
I downloaded a website (offline) & some pages content a dead URLs; (dead URLs mean: URLs without <A href="...">...</a>; so you could not click on it; it appear like a normal text…
There were a lot of URLs with deferent's formats; some of them begin with such as:
http://www.yahoo.com ;
http://yahoo.com ;
www.yahoo.com ; yahoo.com ; yahoo.net ; yahoo.org ; etc..
So; could textpipe do what fast-help program can do?
To change text Urls to Clickable Urls..
thanks

Yes, that's pretty easy. Which version of TextPipe will you be purchasing - we can setup a filter for you.
