Word document conversion

Post by lambertsavage »

We're looking for an easy way to convert a huge bunch of MS Word docs to database. We are general technical consultants and not database experts.

The documents make up a client company's manual--a book about how to do everything in the company. It's stored now on a server share and accessible to all users but is unwieldy and poorly indexed. difficult to use.

Is there a way to use TextPipe to convert this huge book to a database for ease of searching and finding relevant topics?

Any help would be appreciated?

Not really - you need to insert the data as a blob field in the database. You need to write some code to do

Thanks for your response.

So, would we be best off hiring a database consultant to do this?
