greek window fonts

Post by Rolf »

Hello,
after a couple of months working with textpipe, I am still discovering new features!
However, I am now looking for a possibility to manage greek (window) fonts. Do I need to transform the document into something like UTF-8 (how???) and process then the hatched numbers or is there a more straight way?

I am doing all this under Win98SE and the greek character are properly shown in Excel (after selecting the corresponding font) and Word.

Thanks for any advise + best wishes - Rolf

Hi Rolf,

You could try using TextPipe's convert Unicode to ANSI filter, but I'm not sure what the result would be.

Thanks,
however, the result is: a series of question marks and some %

Any idea how to tackle this issue?
What works is: transform the whole file into a html-file and deal then within textpipe with: ... ΣΟ ...
or to explain this better: & sigma ... & Omicron etc.
But this is rather complicate and requires some back and forward file transformation outside textpipe.

Any better ideas - thx in advance - Rolf

No other suggestions - just wait until we release a Unicode version (in the works).
