warning message at scheduled run time

Post by petroski »

Hello,

I originally downloaded the current TextPipe Pro evaluation version and created a filter to process the required csv files. This went smoothly and the output file was exactly as needed. However, I was not able to set the filter to run as a scheduled service (not supported by eval. version)

So, I took the step of purchasing TextPipe Standard and TextPipe Pro Run Time, installed both and then discovered that TextPipe Standard did not support one of the steps that I was using in the original filter (delete all except x number of lines from end of file). So, I then upgraded to TextPipe Pro.

So now, everything works as did before, I can run the filter using the TextPipe Pro Run Time as a scheduled event on the client's system. However, when the scheduled event occurs, I get the following message.

"Warning: The filter being read is from a later version of TextPipe Pro Run Time. It may not load successfully (expected file type <=88, reading type: 89)"

I have opened up the original filter with the upgraded TextPipe Pro and resaved the filter, but the same warning message occurs. Oh yes, when I clear the warning message, the filter executes with no further problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Again,

I looked at the versions that I have - all downloaded within a couple of hours of each other.

TextPipe Pro - v. 8.0.3

TextPipe Pro Run Time - v. 7.9.7c

Is the differentiation between the version types the cause of the error? If so, how do I upgrade my Run Time version?

The Run Time version has been re-uploaded (v8.0.5) and should fix your problem.

TextPipe Pro is also at 8.0.5.

Wanted to let everyone know that this resolved the issue - thank you!

Also, here's a sample of what TextPro can be used for. We have .csv output from weather instrumentation that we needed to convert over to a format that a flash charting program could read, as well as just show the last 72 hours of data. See:

http://ezwebservices.ca/wxcharts/wind/

We are using TextPipe Pro Run Time to update the .csv that the flash app reads every 10 minutes.

Thanks muchly,
Peter

Do you believe the temperature chart ?

Out of natural curiosity, I just looked at your linked Flash chart - I can't really believe you have temperatures as low as 0 K, so maybe there is a need for some further filtering?
