Restrict to between tags - TextPipe 8.3.7

I restrict between tags and check "Include the start and end tag".

My expectation is that the matched tags, not just the content between the tags, will be passed to a restriction sub-filter. This is not happening.

I uncheck "Include the start and end tag" and notice the sub-filter receives both the tags and the content between them.

Is there a bug in the toggle (i.e. when checked it only passes the content between the tags), or am I just misunderstanding?

You're right - this is a bug and will be fixed shortly.

Has this bug been present in all TextPipe versions up to 8.3.7 ?

If so, it would help me understand why some of my filters did not behave as expected.

Quite likely yes. I do recall some changes in this part of the code, so it mayhave effected the other aspects of this filter.
