I just tried to uninstall TextPipe Standard 8.4.4 and there was a popup dialog that said it could not proceed because EXPLORER.EXE was using some files!
I had no applications open at the time, and one cannot close Windows Explorer if there are no Explorer Windows open, can you?
Has anyone else seen this problem, or is it just my WinXP computer going flaky?
It will be tomorrow before I can try this again.
I've just started to run SpinRite ( http://grc.com/) on my hard drive at level 4 (maintenance).
Uninstall problem with 8.4.4

Re: Uninstall problem with 8.4.4
Explorer.exe DOES use contmenu.dll if you have right-clicked on any files. And yes, the Task Bar is created by the first copy of explorer.exe.
