Environment variables - current filter path

Post by dfhtextpipe »

One of the environment variables is filterFilename, which is defined only after the current filter has been saved.

Something that would improve the portability of filters would be to provide an environment variable for the filterPath.

This would then permit external files (such as search/replace lists) to be specified relative to the current filter.

Please consider adding this as a feature of TextPipe.

It would mean that I could more readily move some of my filters and their associated external files to a better location in my own system.
It would also mean less work for other users who might care to make use of any filters that I make available as shared resources.

Hi David,

External files are already specified relative to the current filter path. If we have missed any of these please let us know.

Thanks Simon.

Good response to a suggestion. Should benefit multiple customers.
