I had a colleague trying to do a bulk search and replace within the hyperlinks on a large set of documents (replacing a server name). He wrestled with it for about a week with no luck, then by chance asked me if I might be able to help. None of the search & replace tools I had available were up to the job, but a 5 minute web search, a quick download-and-install and: Wordpipe = problem solved!
