TextPipe v10.0 - a maximized Filter has no standard controls at the top right of its window

Post by dfhtextpipe »

With advent of the new ribbon based UI, something that was an essential feature in earlier versions seems to have been "lost on the way".

TextPipe v10.0 - a maximized filter has no standard controls at the top right of its window!

i.e. For
  • Minimise
    Restore
    Close
btw. The same is true for the maximized current shell extensions window!

Best regards,

Two of the "lost" controls appear in a small grey rectangle at the top left of the application window when a filter is maximized!
  • Restore
    Close
Looks like this is a software bug! It's certainly not standard behaviour for an internal window.

Maximised windows have no title bar, so there is no spot for these controls. Instead, the Window Ribbon can be used to activate these commands.

We don't have any code to address this - this is part of the framework we have. The next major release should fix this.

30-60 days from now. Sorry, can't give you a more concrete date , too many unknowns.

The 10.0.4 update actually made this problem worse ... before, I could merely not scroll down if I was using a monitor plugged into my laptop, but now I can't scroll down even when using the native laptop screen. It means TP is unusable if trying to build or edit a replace filter.

The orphaned grey Windows controls are still there at the top left of the main window, obscuring part of the TextPipe icon.

See attached image.

In 10.0.5 we've gone back to non-scrolling behaviour in the right hand panel which should restore this to how it was before.
