TextPipe 10.7 - Editing Windows Shell Extensions - still not quite right

Post by dfhtextpipe »

Hi Simon,

I installed TextPipe 10.7 earlier today.

One still cannot easily select a single row and move it while editing Windows Shell Extensions.

The row selection highlight still seems to be between rows.
Moving the selection by drag & drop moved two rows.

There are further critical bugs in this aspect of the UI.
At one point, all the rows below the highlight just vanished. I had to Cancel instead of Apply.

Also, the table title row can be highlighted (as well as each column title text). This ought not to be allowed.

Best regards,

David

Hi Simon,

It's still very frustrating that this problem is still not fixed.

Will it be fixed in TextPipe version 10.8 ?

For future consideration, what would it take to be able to group shell extension options into a tree structure?

Filters in different categories could be more easily selected than by having 50 or more filters in a flat context menu,
where the most recently added filters always require a fair amount of menu scrolling.

Best regards,

David

This dialog has been improved for TP 11 - the tree structure is in our backlog

I've yet to test the Windows Shell Extensions editing dialog in TextPipe v11.4.

It's on my list, as it were.
