Add line numbers

I find that the filter of "Add line numbers" can be expanded in terms of its function.

So far it can only be added to the start of line or preceded by a certain constant string.

I would like to suggest:

1) it can be used as the subfilter of "Restrict columns" (that is, incremental numbers can be inserted in the column range recursively)

2) the width of "Format" combo box need to be widened so that users can add longer leading characters. For example, when users want to downloading files by creating such a series of URLs:

We've added a new option, 'Don't reset at end of file' to the line number filter to handle this. It will be in the next release.

Yes - just use a search/replace for XXX, and replace with $0. Inside this, add an Add Line Numbers filter with the new option. You will then have to remove the XXX.

I mean, can "add line number" be set as a macro which can be inserted into the place users specify?

Yes - you use the search/replace to control where the line number gets inserted.
