Loading V8.6.7 on Win XP 64-Bit

I am having issues with TextPipe on a WinXP 64-bit PC. It was working fine at one point. Unfortunately, I don't know which version. I do know that v8.6.2 and v8.6.7 will bring up a message saying I need to have the Server version loaded on the PC. The PC is running Win XP Profession x64 Edition 2003 with SP2 applied.

Any ideas? I didn't see anything on the forums that would give me a clue.

Windows XP 64-bit edition identifies itself as a Server class computer.

In TextPipe 8.6.2, we made a change intended to prevent XP 64 bit from causing this issue.

It sounds like this has not worked. Please get back to me to confirm and we will work on a solution for you.

I can confirm both the v8.6.2 and v8.6.7 are giving us the same error.

Can you please download and run the attached server detection test application? It should now show your win xp x64 machine as 'not a server'.

It look promising! There were two pop-ups with the following messages:

Win32MajorVersion=5 Win32MinorVersion=2

and

1. IsWow64Process **IS** available - this IS XP x64 - so is NOT server OS

Did you tell this user that the TextPipe context menu does not work on the 64-bit OS ?

As far as I have read, there are 32-bit versions of both IE and WIndows Explorer available for x64 systems. So there is a workaround.
