TextPipe is not a well-behaved Windows Desktop application

I recently discovered that TextPipe is not a well-behaved Windows Desktop application.

i.e. When using the TaskBar context menu to
  • Cascade windows
    Show windows stacked
    Show windows side by side
The application window for TextPipe does not behave as standard windows should.

TextPipe v9.9.5 has these issues:
  • When stacked with one other open window, TextPipe occupies two thirds of the available screen area
When shown side by side with two other open windows, TextPipe occupies more screen area than either of the other two windows
Moreover, TextPipe v10.0 is even worse in this respect than earlier versions!
  • When Cascade is used, TextPipe doesn't change window size nor does it cascade like other windows
When stacked is used, TextPipe doesn't adjust its window to fit within the space left by the other windows
When side by side is used, TextPipe doesn't adjust its window to fit within the space left by the other windows
This is a very serious fault!

Best regards,

David

Simon,

Why no response to this since August? It's now November. That's more than three months.

Sorry, thought I had responded to this. We don't intent to address this until after we move to Delphi XE10, as this most likely fixes the issue anyway,

When will you be moving to Delphi XE10 ?

There's been no real improvement with v10.0.6 - the UI is still "pear shaped" as we say in the UK.
