Check for updates give false positive

Having already installed TextPipe v10.8 when I click in Help | Check web for TextPipe updates,
I am informed wrongly that A TextPipe Standard 10.8 update is available.
This is a false positive, given that there has been no further minor update since v10.8 was announced earlier this week.
I think this feature has been bad for a considerable time.
