Text matching - Removing lines above and below

Post by depesh »

I have text pipe version 6.2.9 and have been using it for years. My question is regarding text on multiple lines. I need the filter to match a line and then remove that line and the line above and below it. For example

Matched line:

The cat is on the mat

Text:

The dog is in the house
The cat is on the mat
The broom is in the closet

I need it to match "The cat is on the mat" remove that line and remove the one above and below it.

Is this possible with this version? Is this possible in ANY version?

Thanks,
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,

Use the Remove\Remove Lines Matching filter, and set the Context Lines above and below to '1'.
