File Watcher - different action for different "watchings"

Hi,

how am I supposed to set up different actions for different folder watches? No matter what kind of folders I watch, I am only able to define one single action...

Major annoyances and bugs:

- I cant add Windows' own ".job"-tasks directly, only .exe .com and .bat are allowed. Why is it?
- it seems as if I'm unable to set the location of "FileWatcher settings.xml"?
- I cant paste into the "Parameters" field, I have to type each time...
- why cant all these command line parameters like "/hidden" and "/g" be set via Options-menu in the FileWatcher GUI itself? Autostart would be faciliated a lot this way...
- although "new files", "updated files" and "deleted files" are checked for "actions to watch", the action WON'T be triggered if files are deleted. The deletion is logged, but nothing happens.

The log is as follows:

20090822 04:22:26 New file: M:\q\xxx\xxx\GBD02_2009.pdf
20090822 04:22:26 File updated again: M:\q\xxx\xxx\GBD02_2009.pdf
20090822 04:22:26 File updated again: M:\q\xxx\xxx\GBD02_2009.pdf
20090822 04:22:26 File updated again: M:\q\xxx\xxx\GBD02_2009.pdf
20090822 04:22:27 [Main] => Running "C:\Programme\ViceVersa Pro\ViceVersa.exe"
20090822 04:22:51 [1] => Exit code 2 Hex $0002
20090822 04:22:51 [1] => Finished
20090822 04:22:55 File deleted: M:\q\xxx\xxx\GBD02_2009.pdf

No action taken afterwards. Why is it?

thanks a lot,
MP

1) You can choose any extension - but .exe, .com and .bat are the defaults
2) The default settings are always saved in the My Documents folder. But you can save/load settings from anywhere, and using /F= on the command line. Why is this an issue?
3) Strange, Paste does not work, but right-click/Paste does work
4) If these options could be set in the GUI then you could never start File Watcher in 'normal' mode to edit the settings. We can certainly add a dummy AutoStart icon which you can easily drag and drop to the Start Menu if you think this would help?
5) I'm sure you are right - we will check this out.

Ah - the deleted Action cannot be used in conjunction with the 'exclusive file access' option, because the file does not exist anymore. Let me know if this caused problems and we will change it.

Can you let me know why you need both the New/Modified action at the same time as the Delete action?
