I am using the excellent Restriction filters to help me upgrade many HTML files.
BUT I am having problems with Restricting nested HTML tables and need to clarify what I can expect the filter to cope with. I am not sure if this is a "bug" or a "limit".

The supplied pattern for HTML tags under Custom Patterns is:
<(?:[^>'"]*|".*?"|'.*?')+>
I find it does not work with normal HTML well. For instance, here is a match it makes:

I restrict between tags and check "Include the start and end tag".
My expectation is that the matched tags, not just the content between the tags, will be passed to a restriction sub-filter. This is not happening.
I uncheck "Include the start and end tag" and notice the sub-filter receives both ...
