Converting to & from Indic scripts

The filters to convert Windows code pages are very nice.

A future enhancement to consider might be to add the ability to convert to and from Indic scripts including legacy scripts.

cf. There is a Firefox add-on called Padma which has this facility. See http://padma.mozdev.org/
Padma has not been updated since July 11th, 2009.
