Logging options

Please provide a tickbox option to log the first line of every comment filter.

For complex filters that are liberally commented by the developer,
this would enhance the examination of the log file and the status tab messages.

Hi David,

We investigate this, but realized quite quickly that comments filters are discarded when the filter is compiled.

One approach would be to add 'dummy' filters to the compiled processing structure, but these would incur a performance penalty.

As an optional checkbox, is that still ok?

As an optional check box in the logging options - that would be fine.

You could even include a note that performance might be effected.
