Giving splitted files specific unique names?

I'd like to name the splitted parts of a file
according to present infos/strings from
>within< each splitted part.

Is this possible? I see you have a "split
file name" dropdown, maybe there is
an option to use the first or last line?

The trick is to capture the desired output filename into a variable, then use the Restrict to Filename filter to alter the output filename. It does require a bit of work to setup.

We’ve had a good look, and we can’t make it work. The next best approach is to use step 1 to create a batch file with the new filenames, then run this batch file as step 2.
