Convert mainframe packed data

I'm new to TextPipe and I'd like to know if it can convert a file that contains both text (readable) and numeric packed data (dates and amounts - unreadable). The data originates on the mainframe and I need to load this data into an Oracle table.

Hi Glenn,

You need to ensure your FTP the file off the mainframe in binary mode to preserve the packed decimal fields. Then, using Filters\Wizards\Mainframe copybook filter, you can paste in the copybook (file format), and also specify that it only converts numeric fields
