I'm looking to update the links in our excel spreadsheets to point to the newly converted files.
='L:\financials\budgets\Project Sheet M ''08\[Services Exp M ''08.xls]600'!E32
to become
='L:\financials\converted budgets\Project Sheet M ''08\[Services Exp M ''08.xlsx]600'!E32
I've tried various permutations of the search functions but the program doesn't seem to find the string.
I saw an older post from 2004 that says this is impossible because of where the data is stored. Is this still the case?
Thanks
updating links in 2007 excel files

Re: updating links in 2007 excel files
That's certainly not the case - and I can't see the post that mentions that.
Did you try just searching for
\budgets\
replace with
\converted budgets\
? Often MS Excel stores links as relative paths.
